Position Summary...

The Manager, Canada Payroll Advisory acts as the main point of contact with Canadian governmental agencies and key internal stakeholders inclusive of the Canada Total Rewards Leadership team, People Partners, Canada and Global Finance, Global People Solutions (inclusive of Continuous Improvement, cross functional teams from hiring to payroll shared services). The position is responsible for driving process efficiencies and the associate experience, and ensuring appropriate prioritization of work and alignment with business needs.

What you'll do...

Provides expertise to confirm compliance with payroll regulations, tax obligations, internal policies/procedures and all applicable laws. Ensures that the payroll system and processes are updated accordingly and identifies areas of improvement. Supports the creation of policies and guidelines that fosters continued adherence.

Supports payroll audits and when required (by the country), and supports the designs and implementation of internal controls to meet audit requirements. Partners with Controllership and Commercial Finance to review and provide monthly/annual reporting on wage spend for P&L review and planning.

Provides payroll subject matter expertise, proposals and projections to Canada internal stakeholders in response to queries, requests and adherence to applicable laws and regulations.

Partners with Global People Solutions stakeholders on continuous improvement. Working with internal stakeholders or external entities (when required), provides excellent research and problem-solving skills to partner in the resolution of complex/sensitive/unique payroll issues in a timely and regulatory compliant manner.

Ensures all payroll communication materials are current, accurate and understandable by stakeholders. Accountable for multi-year severance payroll reconciliation process in partnership with People, Legal and Finance.

Works with key stakeholders to support initiatives to sustain assurance of accurate and compliant payroll processing for Canada. Identifies issues that are impacting effectiveness, efficiency or accuracy, and participates in resolution planning. Supports ensuring proper business participation for testing of development/installs, if needed. Provides Canadian subject matter expertise to internal stakeholders to ensure understanding of Canadian payroll requirements.

In partnership with Global People Solutions, participates in initiatives and a cross-functional review of processes and procedures to advance Global Payroll's objectives and to ensure payroll accuracy and efficiency.
