Permanent, part-time position (3 days per week).

Working hours flexible 21 to 24 hours per week.


Reporting to the Human Resources Manager, this position is responsible for the administration of payroll and benefits for employees for multiple business units, including some administrative HR functions.

  • Processes by by-weekly payroll for multiple businesses;
  • Maintains a comprehensive employee database;
  • Reports to legislative bodies as required;
  • Remits all statutory withholdings as required;
  • Administers the pension and benefit program;
  • Assists employees with payroll and benefits questions;
  • Processes annual T4's and T4 summaries;
  • Completes internal and external payroll reporting;
  • Assists with updates to policies or procédures;
  • Assists with record keeping for multiple business units;
  • Assists with maintaining the HR and payroll filing systems;
  • Assists in the recruitment and selection process as needed;
  • Keeps up with current changes in legislation in the regulatory bodies and other government entities;
  • Researches information to improve current HR policies and practices.


  • You possess a community college diploma (2 or 3 years), recognized apprenticeship or equivalent;
  • You have more than one year but less than three years of relevant experience in benefits and pension administration;
  • You have experience working with Ceridian, a must;
  • You work under minimal supervision, you are a team-player;
  • You are recognized as a rigourous, detail-oriented person, for your can-do attitude and for your excellent customer-service skills;
  • You are bilingual (English and French), an asset.
