JOB DESCRIPTION - Being an integral team member of Jarlian Construction, managing administrative duties from home base in Burlington. Bookkeeping is an essential.


  • basic knowledge of general accounting and procedures
  • good knowledge of and in particular, Simply Accounting/Sage, Microsoft Office, Excel
  • preparing payroll and source deductions, Workers Comp remittances, statutory declarations, ROE and T-4's
  • preparing bank deposits and pay credit card payments and bills on time
  • gathering and update project data during project execution
  • answering calls and directing accordingly
  • administrative support (photo copies, filing, emails etc.)
  • managing mail on a daily basis


  • ability to learn quickly, be self motivated and self reliant
  • exceptional organizational skills and the ability to meet deadlines and adapt to changing priorities
  • an understanding and respect for confidentiality and the ability to uphold this
  • a proven level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • a minimum of 5 years experience
  • proficiency in English, both spoken and written
