POSITION SUMMARY:

The Vault Clerk is responsible for executing an assortment of clerical accounting tasks, such as compiling and sorting cash, calculating and verifying amounts, and performing all other responsibilities as directed by the Vault Supervisor. This position works event nights, including holidays and weekends.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
(Other duties may be assigned as required)

  • Verify, record and witness cash amounts turned in by cashiers
  • Prepares bank deposit in accordance with company policies and procedures
  • Use manual and/or cash counters to verify floats and cashier drops
  • Report all questionable transactions and/or documentation to the Vault Supervisor

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Able to handle large amounts of currency and coin
  • Detail oriented with basic arithmetic skills
  • Cash handling and balancing experience desired
  • Demonstrated clerical and processing skills
  • Regular cleaning of cash/coin counters and general cleaning and upkeep of the vault room
  • Preparation of cashier slips
  • Posting of cash over and short journal entries from prior events
  • Must be willing and able to work evenings and late-night shifts including holidays and weekends
