Role Description

QuadReal is seeking a responsible and enthusiastic team member to fill the newly created position of Accountant, Finance, Corporate. The Corporate Finance & Accounting team is responsible for delivering accurate, timely, and meaningful financial information to both external and internal stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have a strong financial acumen with demonstrated attention to detail and accuracy, who possesses a positive attitude, excellent time management and organizational skills, with the ability to multi-task and prioritize responsibilities to meet strict deadlines. This role will work closely with the two senior accountants, and will be focused on corporate revenues and accounts receivable.

Responsibilities

Financial Accounting

  • Perform full cycle day-to-day revenue accounting functions including:
    • Preparation of revenue invoices & record revenue accruals
    • Maintaining the accounts receivable subledger
    • Cash applications
    • Related Party reconciliations
    • Prepare other working papers as necessary
  • Support preparation of the company’s quarterly and annual management reporting and financial reporting under IFRS
  • Support processes for annual internal/external audits including creating working papers
  • Assist with variance analysis reviews of financial results

Support various special projects as they arise

Experience and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business (specializing in Accounting or equivalent)
  • Over 2-3 years of experience in a finance accounting/reporting environment
  • Prior experience with Yardi is an asset
  • Prior experience in the real estate industry is an asset
  • Solid understanding of accounting principles and full cycle accounting experience
  • Attention to detail, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Hard working and energetic with the capacity and willingness to manage multiple tasks to respond to demanding deadlines
  • Strong proficiency with Excel functions and working with large volumes of data
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Proven ability to work independently and in a team environment
