YOUR DAY AS A CLIENT SERVICE ASSISTANT

Administrative

  • Prints correspondence as needed and maintains policy files and/or electronic files (EPIC) to ensure that they are organized and up to
  • Processes cover notes/binders, invoices, enclosure letters, memos, and other documentation as required or works with the Central Processing Unit to produce the same.
  • Prepares certificate lists at renewal and issues certificates of insurance as confirmed with the
  • Creates abeyances, advises Team, and follows up for outstanding
  • Processes incoming mail and directs to the appropriate person on the
  • Updates the renewal list as
  • Ensures all correspondence is accurate and flows in a timely

Accounting/Premium Finance

  • In conjunction with the CSM, monitors and follows up on outstanding client accounts receivables.
  • Works with the Accounting Department and insurers to resolve accounting discrepancies and related
  • Organizes and prepares premium financing, when

Client/Insurer

  • Responds to telephone calls and written inquiries from clients and underwriters in a timely and professional
  • Issues certificates of insurance from client requests/contracts and, in conjunction with the CSM, ensures the insurance program meets requirements. With the CSM, contacts insurers to confirm coverage and amend as Advises clients of any discrepancies between the insurance program and the insurance requirements.
  • Assists the CSM in preparing underwriting submissions and client proposals when required.
  • Obtains claims history from EPIC, Claims Department, or insurers at renewal or when
  • Requests and follows up with insurers and clients for outstanding information, endorsements or documentation, as
  • Provides a first review of the policy

General

  • Follows BFL policies and procedures, including security and quality procedures, as currently set out and as amended from time to
  • Other miscellaneous duties and special projects as required

OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE

  • Minimum 2 years Commercial insurance experience or relevant insurance education
  • Level 2 license preferred (insurance designation, CIP or CAIB preferred) or working towards
  • Extremely detailed
  • Must be completely client focused and service oriented
  • Maintenance of licensing requirements/continuing education
  • Excellent communication skills, listening, verbal, and written
  • Ability to work well independently, as part of a team, and with others throughout the organization
  • Positive attitude and a desire to grow
  • Willingness to go beyond the job description
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint
