Payroll Associate

• Complies with the Maintenance Program as delineated in QMS-4-P006.
• Performs preventative, predictive and diagnostic maintenance on production and facility equipment both inside and outside.
• Read blueprints, electrical and schematic drawings.
• Install, move and dismantle plant equipment according to the growing needs of the business.
• Responsible for the creation and scheduled completion of CMMS work orders, ensuring that work is completed as scheduled and prevents overdue work orders.
• Participates in developing and maintaining a preventative maintenance program for the facility and the equipment.
• Creates, participates and/or develops improvements to eliminate waste, which may include Lean Manufacturing and 5S principles.
• Resolves machine problems with effective trouble-shooting using internal and external support systems.
• Assists in managing maintenance parts and supplies inventory.
• Expected to complete any other tasks within the scope of their training as assigned.
• Work in a safe manner following all safety rules and PPE, LOTO, Confined Space, Fall Arrest, etc.
• Ensure that safety is made a priority and that team members are abiding by all Health and Safety regulations.
• Performs daily 5^th Class boiler checks.
• On-call / After-hours response to emergency equipment breakdowns.
• Collaborate with maintenance staff in both plants to grow knowledge and build strong maintenance team.
• Effectively communicates and collaborates with Maintenance and Production teams to ensure efficient plant operation.
• Assist with general building repairs and maintenance required. (carpentry, snow clearing from employee entrances, emergency exits, trim and spray weeds as needed etc..)
• Flexibility to work in Ste Agathe and Winnipeg plant as needed.
• Working at heights and in adverse weather conditions.
• Other duties as assigned by the organization.

• Post-Secondary diploma or degree in a technical field preferred.(Industrial Mechanic)
• Leadership experience in a maintenance environment with proven leadership abilities.
• Effective leadership skills, with a strong focus on operations and business processes.
• Knowledge of building and equipment systems.
• Strong business focus on Safety, Quality and Cost.
• Strong troubleshooting/problem solving abilities.
• Maintains a high level of integrity, confidentially, and accountability.
