Accounting Clerk – Intercompany Accounting, Reconciliation and Collections 4 days in office -MONTREAL Norton Rose Fulbright Canada is seeking an Accounting Clerk to join its Finance team. As a member of the Cash Receipts and Intercompany team, reporting to the Team Leader, you will play a key role in the management of intercompany invoicing, reconciliations, collections, and cash application activities. You will work closely with internal stakeholders and the Shared Services Centre to ensure the timely reconciliation of accounts, resolution of discrepancies, and collection of outstanding intercompany balances. Role * Oversee and manage the intercompany invoicing process, ensuring accuracy and timely processing of transactions. * Monitor, analyze, and reconcile intercompany accounts on a regular basis. * Investigate and resolve discrepancies in collaboration with internal teams and international offices. * Follow up on outstanding balances and coordinate collection activities to ensure timely settlement. * Process and record client and intercompany payments in accordance with established procedures. * Prepare daily deposits in multiple currencies and coordinate physical bank deposits as required. * Support month-end and year-end closing activities. * Respond to finance team requests and provide support for ad hoc reporting and analysis. * Participate in special projects and process improvement initiatives as required. * Perform other related duties as assigned. Required Qualifications and Experience * Diploma of Collegial Studies (DEC) in Accounting or equivalent. * Minimum of three to five years of experience in accounting, accounts receivable, intercompany accounting, reconciliation, or collections. * Experience managing account reconciliations and resolving account discrepancies. * Previous experience in a legal firm or professional services environment is an asset. * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. * Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines. * Detail-oriented, accurate, and methodical. * Strong communication and relationship-management skills. * Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment. * Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel. * Knowledge of SAP is an asset. * Bilingual (spoken and written French and English).
