Job summary
MSALABS is an experienced global provider of geochemical laboratory services to the exploration and mining industries in Canada, the USA and around the world. We have a rapidly growing network of laboratories in key mining regions around the world to limit lead times and transit costs and we employ the latest hi-tech analysis equipment. Responsibilities: Carry out all tasks and procedures in accordance with documented Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) or recognized standard reference methods. Report any deviation from documented procedures to your direct line manager, or nominated person. Sign and Issue Test Reports when authorization is received. Inform your direct line manager, or nominated person of any nonconforming event related to customer samples, or other departmental operations. Inform your direct line manager, or nominated person conditions within the department. Act in a safe and professional manner and wear appropriate attire. Monitor the performance of the equipment and QCs and report all deviations to your direct line manager, or nominated person. Practicing good housekeeping. Communicate general laboratory issues to your direct line manager, or nominated person as appropriate. Perform other duties as required by management. Quality Assurance and Compliance: Follow Quality Assurance, Quality Control (QAQC), and Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies and procedures. Raise non-conformance investigation requests to the QAQC department as necessary. Requirements: Excellent organizational skills and ability to multitask. Able to work effectively in a team environment as well as independently. Detail orientated and ability to work very well under pressure. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions. BSc or Technical Diploma in Chemistry or a scientific discipline or equivalent experience. 0-3 years’ experience in a commercial laboratory. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. Well-versed in the operation and implementation of LIMS.

Requirements
Requires a BSc or Technical Diploma in Chemistry or a scientific discipline with 0-3 years of commercial laboratory experience. Candidates must be proficient in Microsoft Office and LIMS with strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
