Responsibilities * Perform compilation, review, and audit engagements; provide bookkeeping and tax services. * Prepare files for new clients and newly incorporated businesses; manage multiple engagements simultaneously and conduct inventory counts. * Perform walkthrough testing of accounts receivable, accounts payable, capital asset acquisitions and disposals, and payroll processes with clients. * Summarize the client’s current financial position by gathering information and preparing the balance sheet, income statement, and other relevant reports. * Evaluate and ensure the appropriateness of audit evidence supporting expenses, revenues, capital asset acquisitions, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and prepaid expenses. * Review and correct discrepancies and irregularities in financial records, documents, and reports. * Develop charts of accounts and prepare journal entries for inclusion in the accounts. * Prepare correspondence, technical reports, client summaries, and presentations outlining engagement findings, facts, and key highlights. * Build effective working relationships with clients; mentor and guide less experienced team members. * Participate in business development initiatives and identify new business opportunities. * Be willing to travel as required. Skills and Experience * CPA designation obtained. * 2 to 4 years of relevant public accounting experience. * Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), * Experience with accounting and tax software. * Understanding of business, accounting, management, and business development principles. Candidates must hold a CPA designation and possess 2 to 4 years of relevant public accounting experience. Strong knowledge of GAAP and proficiency with accounting and tax software are required.
