The incumbent will be required to make a telework arrangement with their supervisor. The incumbent will be expected to work in the office as determined by policy and discussion with their supervisor. This position supports federal project financial management by analyzing federal project costs, preparing Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) final vouchers, and ensuring accurate use of federal funds. It assists with funding modifications throughout the project lifecycle, helps maintain accurate data on open federal projects, and performs related financial management tasks as assigned. The Minnesota Department of Transportation does not sponsor applicants for work visas or Optional Practical Training Extensions for STEM Students. Individuals must be legally authorized to work in the US at the start of employment. Minimum Qualifications Two years of professional accounting or finance experience that demonstrates: Knowledge and experience interpreting and applying Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and accounting, cost allocations, and project funding requirements. Experience working with Oracle Peoplesoft, Statewide Integrated Financial Tools (SWIFT) or other governmental financial, procurement, and reporting systems. Experience analyzing financial documents for accuracy and compliance. A bachelor’s or master’s degree in accounting, business, or finance may substitute for one year of professional accounting or finance experience. Preferred Qualifications Experience reviewing project cost eligibility for state or federal transportation funding projects/programs.
