Position Summary: To balance daily revenue and cash receipts and reconcile numerous reports on daily business transactions for Niagara’s Finest Hotels. Duties and Responsibilities: Primary Responsibilities: * Front desk duties include check in/check out procedures * Responsible for reports & photocopies * Performing accounting procedures * Balancing all departments in Food and Beverage * Answering phones in a professional manner * Working with Maestro system * Taking guest reservations on an occasional basis * Taking messages and forwarding to the appropriate departments * Dealing with guests in a professional service-oriented manner * Responding to guest complaints * Having a thorough knowledge of Niagara’s Finest Hotels’ products and services * Actively seeking ways to meet guests’ product or service needs Secondary Responsibilities: * Able to deal with minor disputes * Performing minor maintenance when required * Responsible for evening Guest requests * All other duties as assigned Technical/Managerial/Administrative Requirements: * Valid computer knowledge * Accounting experience * Professional phone etiquette Professional Requirements: * Basic accounting skills * Mathematical skills * Numerical aptitude * Front desk experiences an asset * Second language an asset * Previous up-selling and/or sales experience is considered an asset Personal Attributes: * Flexible and co-operative team player * Dependable * Ability to work with minimal supervision, self-motivated * Excellent communication ability * Confidence in selling and up-selling products and services * Positive sales-oriented personality * Desire to meet goals * Ethical and honest Physical Requirements: * Ability to work steady nights * Close quarter environment * Patience in dealing with guests and balancing multiple demands Questions, quoting the job title and location, may be directed to [email protected] [[email protected]] Lais Hotel Properties Limited is committed to fostering a diverse, inclusive, and accessible workplace where all individuals are valued and respected.
