This position is responsible for processing daily accounting transactions, including journal entries, accounts payable and receivable, and bank reconciliations across various divisions. The role involves preparing and reviewing financial statements, assisting with month-end and year-end closing activities, and maintaining accurate and organized financial records. The Accounting Specialist will use accounting software to input, track, and analyze financial data, support audits, and help ensure compliance with internal policies and relevant regulations. This individual will collaborate with operations, finance, and management teams to provide timely reports and support decision-making. Qualifications Strong understanding of Financial Statements and foundational Finance concepts. Practical experience with Accounting Software and related digital tools. Proficiency in Journal Entries (Accounting) and general ledger maintenance. Well-developed Analytical Skills with attention to detail and accuracy. Post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional designation or progress toward CPA is an asset. Experience in multi-entity or multi-division environments, ideally in transportation, equipment, or related industries. Ability to work on-site in Georgetown, ON, manage deadlines, and handle confidential information responsibly. Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
