About the Role Reporting to the finance leadership team, you will play a key role in supporting project performance by combining financial oversight with operational collaboration. This position goes beyond traditional accounting, requiring close partnership with project managers to monitor budgets, track progress, manage billing activities, and provide meaningful financial insights throughout the project lifecycle. This is a primarily remote position with occasional travel for team meetings or project-related activities as needed. What You'll Do Monitor project costs, budgets, and financial performance, identifying variances and recommending corrective actions Prepare and manage progress billings, receivables, collections, and contract-related invoicing Maintain work-in-progress schedules, revenue recognition support, and project financial reporting Assist with monthly and year-end financial close activities across multiple business operations Work closely with project managers to review contract milestones, project budgets, and financial results Support change order tracking, forecasting, and cost-to-complete analysis Partner with internal teams and external stakeholders to resolve billing inquiries and payment issues Contribute to process improvements that strengthen project controls and financial reporting What You'll Bring 5+ years of experience in project accounting, construction accounting, or a similar project-based environment Strong understanding of project costing, work-in-progress reporting, and percentage-of-completion accounting Experience managing accounts receivable, collections, and project billing Ability to communicate confidently with project teams and operational leaders Highly organized with strong analytical and problem-solving skills Advanced Excel skills and experience working with accounting or ERP systems Professional accounting designation is an asset but not required Previous experience within the construction or contracting industry is strongly preferred Why Join This is an opportunity to join a collaborative organization that values practical experience, accountability, and teamwork.
