About the Role Reporting to the finance leadership team, you will oversee the financial management of multiple development projects, ensuring accurate budgeting, reporting, and project accounting throughout the project lifecycle. This position requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively with both finance and operations teams. What You'll Do Maintain and update project budgets while monitoring actual and forecasted variances Partner with project and construction teams to support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning Perform full-cycle project accounting, including month-end close, journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reporting Review project costs, work-in-progress, commitments, and vendor expenditures to ensure accuracy and budget compliance Prepare construction financing draw packages and coordinate with lenders and external consultants throughout the funding process Reconcile project funding, cash activity, and construction-related financial transactions Support invoice processing, purchase order reviews, and vendor payment coordination Provide financial analysis, project reports, and account reconciliations to internal stakeholders Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve financial processes and ensure accurate project reporting What You'll Bring Post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field 5+ years of project accounting experience, ideally within construction, real estate, or a project-based environment Strong understanding of project budgeting, cost tracking, financial reporting, and month-end close Advanced Microsoft Excel skills with the ability to analyze and manage large datasets Experience using ERP or project accounting software is considered an asset Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively across multiple departments Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment Why Join Join a collaborative and forward-thinking organization where you'll have the opportunity to work on impactful projects, partner with experienced professionals, and contribute to the financial success of a growing project portfolio.
