JOB DESCRIPTION – GENERAL ACCOUNTANT Location: Mississauga, Ontario Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. – Fully In-Person Salary: $60,000 annually Kaneff Group of Companies is one of the Greater Toronto Area’s established real estate development and property management organizations, with a diverse portfolio spanning residential, commercial, development, and golf operations. We are currently seeking a General Accountant to join our Accounting team. This position will support a variety of accounting and financial functions with a primary focus on Kaneff Golf operations. The successful candidate will be organized, analytical, adaptable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where priorities may shift across multiple properties and operational areas. The position is currently based at our temporary Head Office located at 5770 Hurontario Street, Mississauga, Ontario, with an anticipated return to our Head Office at 8501 Mississauga Road, Brampton, Ontario in Q1 2027. Key Responsibilities * Supporting accounts payable and accounts receivable activities, including reconciliations, payment processing, account follow-up, and investigation of discrepancies. * Maintaining and reviewing customer and member account information and assisting with payment-related inquiries and account issues. * Preparing journal entries, reconciliations, and other general ledger support. * Assisting with month-end accounting and financial reporting requirements. * Preparing and reviewing operational, financial, labour, inventory, and management reporting. * Supporting budgeting, forecasting, cash flow monitoring, and variance analysis. * Assisting with the development and maintenance of financial controls, processes, and reporting procedures. * Working closely with operational leaders across the golf division to support financial decision-making and reporting requirements. * Identifying opportunities to improve, standardize, and streamline accounting and operational processes across multiple properties. * Supporting special projects and ad-hoc financial analysis as required. * Performing other accounting and administrative duties as assigned. Qualifications * Post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related discipline. * Minimum 2–3 years of relevant accounting experience. * Strong understanding of general accounting principles, reconciliations, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger accounting. * Experience supporting month-end financial reporting and account reconciliations. * Strong Microsoft Excel skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office. * Experience with property management software is considered an asset. * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail. * Excellent organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines. * Ability to quickly learn and adapt to different portfolios, processes, and systems. * Strong written and verbal communication skills. * Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with accounting and operational teams. * Professional judgment and discretion when handling confidential financial information.
