Reporting to the Director of Finance, this position plays a key role in processing financial transactions, preparing reports, maintaining records, and assisting with audits, WCB filings, and employee payroll support. *What You?ll Do* * Maintain accurate financial records and reconcile banking files and reports * Process accounts payable and monthly invoices for rent, utilities, etc. * Assist with accounts receivables as needed * Support financial audit preparation * Track and reconcile monthly expenses and revenues * Prepare bank deposits and credit card transactions * Ensure compliance with financial policies, procedures, and the organization of Finance * Take minutes for Financial Advisory Committee meetings * Assist with various administrative and clerical financial tasks as needed *What You Bring* * Diploma or certificate in accounting or bookkeeping (preferred) * 3+ years of direct accounting or bookkeeping experience * Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel and Word) and financial software (e.g. Sage Intacct, etc.) * Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy * Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment * Excellent interpersonal and communication skills * Cultural sensitivity and awareness of First Nations governance and community dynamics * Experience working in and with Indigenous communities is preferred *Why Join K?omoks First Nation?* This is a great opportunity to contribute to the financial health and integrity of the KFN organization while working in a collaborative, community-focused environment.
