Role Description The Accounting Assistant is a full-time, on-site role based in Belleville, ON. This role supports day-to-day accounting operations, including Accounts Payable processing, Payroll processing, reconciling accounts, and assisting with the preparation of financial reports. The Accounting Assistant will maintain accurate records, update accounting software, and support bookkeeping activities such as tracking expenses, revenues, and commissions. Additional responsibilities include responding to accounting inquiries from internal stakeholders, preparing basic financial summaries, and supporting month-end and year-end processes. The role involves close collaboration with the accounting team and administrative staff to ensure timely and compliant financial workflows. Qualifications Strong knowledge of Accounting and Finance principles, with the ability to apply them in a real estate brokerage environment. Experience in processing payroll including remittance of source deductions and preparation of year-end T4 and T4A slips and summaries Experience working with various Accounting Software and reviewing financial records to support reporting and reconciliation activities. Proficiency in Bookkeeping, including transaction recording, account reconciliation, and maintaining organized financial records. Post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. Attention to detail, strong numerical accuracy, and the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced office setting. Proficient in Quickbooks, Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and comfortable learning new systems and tools. Effective communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Previous experience in a real estate, brokerage, or professional services environment is an asset.

Post-secondary education in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field—or equivalent practical experience—is sought, along with proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Office, especially Excel, strong accuracy, and effective communication.
