About The Role Their Toronto office is seeking highly motivated Senior Staff Accountants to join the Assurance Group. This is a progressive opportunity for individuals looking to advance their careers in public accounting. What You’ll Do Conduct audits of financial statements in accordance with Canadian auditing standards and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. Prepare and review working papers, financial statements, and related reports for accuracy and completeness. Assist in the preparation of tax returns and provide tax planning support for clients. Collaborate with team members to identify and implement process improvements for efficiency in audit and accounting procedures. Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and provide exceptional service throughout the engagement. Mentor and provide guidance to junior staff members, fostering a collaborative and supportive team environment. Stay current with industry developments, changes in regulations, and best practices in accounting and auditing. Assist in managing project timelines and deliverables to ensure deadlines are met. Participate in client meetings and presentations, contributing insights and recommendations based on analysis. Support management in the development of client relationships and business opportunities. What You Bring 2 to 3 years of Canadian Public Accounting experience, with a CPA designation. Candidates with international designations and relevant auditing experience are encouraged to apply. Proficiency in computer applications, including Caseware, Taxprep, and Excel. Strong file documentation skills. A deadline-oriented mindset and effective time management abilities. Exceptional attention to detail. Professionalism in interactions with clients and colleagues. A dedication to teamwork and leadership. Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
