Principal tasks and responsibilities include: · Oversee full-cycle accounting for a portfolio of commercial properties, ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial reporting standards · Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including variance analysis and reconciliations · Handle complex CAM (Common Area Maintenance) reconciliations, recoveries, and realty tax billings · Manage budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis for assigned properties · Prepare annual financial statements, cost statements, and audit packages · Collaborate with auditors, property managers, and stakeholders to maintain financial transparency · Assist with the financial integration of new property acquisitions · Support ad hoc financial projects and process improvements Qualifications and pre-requisites: · 3+ years of experience in property or real estate accounting · Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field · CPA designation (or in progress) preferred · Strong knowledge of full-cycle property accounting, including CAM reconciliations and financial reporting · Experience with ERP accounting systems; Yardi is a strong asset · Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs, etc.) · Excellent communication and problem-solving skills · Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment · Willingness to travel to properties when required Additional information or perks: · Hybrid work model (Toronto-based role) · Exposure to a diverse commercial real estate portfolio · Opportunity to work on complex property accounting and reporting initiatives · Strong career development and growth opportunities · Inclusive workplace with accommodations available throughout the hiring process isgSearch does not use artificial intelligence throughout the hiring process
