Job summary
Purpose This role will work with, and contribute to, the team at Horta-Craft in pursuit of carrying out the mission and goals of the organization – primarily in the areas of customer success & accounting – under the direction of the President. Key Results Areas 1. Carry out responsibilities accurately with minimal supervision 2. Professional interactions and communication 3. Provide thoughtful feedback and recommendations Duties and Responsibilities Order entry Customer service Bookkeeping HST Returns Provide documentation and support, as required, to outside accountants Accounts Payable Accounts Receivable Payroll Support in preparing annual pricing and sending quotes to customers Customer account administration Remaining up to date on regulations in related areas Participating in annual professional and personal development training Recommending upgrades and improvements to processes and software in related areas Additional tasks as required, and as time and skills permit Participation in staff meetings Qualifications Possess character that aligns with the mission and guiding principles of Horta-Craft Customer Service Skills Administrative skills Detail oriented Organizational skills 2-5 years of bookkeeping & accounting knowledge & experience Strong written and verbal communication skills Proficient computer skills Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central General Working Conditions 5 days/week with additional or less hours as required to manage seasonal fluctuations Office hours – Monday to Friday – 8am – 4:30pm Majority of work will be completed on-site at a computer Remuneration Starting Wage - $25-28/hr depending on experience Cell phone – monthly reimbursement or Horta-Craft plan and phone provided Vacation – 2 weeks Benefits – Available after 3-month probationary period RRSP Matching up to 4% – Available after 3-month probationary period Professional development book allowance – Available after 3-month probationary period Professional development allowance – Available after 3-month probationary period Profit sharing Years of Service Bonus Incentive
