We are looking for a motivated accounting professional interested in advancing in their career to join our team and contribute to the continued success of our organization Position Summary Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), the Corporate Accountant is responsible for the day-to-day accounting of a variety of property and holding companies. This role focuses on maintaining accurate financial records, preparing tax filings, and supporting month-end reporting, while contributing to a variety of other initiatives as required. Key Responsibilities Perform full-cycle bookkeeping for corporate entities, including holding companies and property companies. Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end working papers. Process accounts payable and prepare payment runs. Prepare and file GST/HST returns and assist with other compliance requirements. Maintain fixed asset schedules and supporting accounting records. Assist with year-end compilations and tax returns. Support consolidated reporting Prepare ad hoc reports and analyses to support the CFO and senior management. Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and internal controls. Qualifications Degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA designation or actively pursuing a CPA designation is an asset. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with accounting software. 3–5 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience. Strong understanding of Canadian accounting principles and GST/HST requirements. Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
