Job summary
Reporting to the Controller, the Staff Accountant is a key member of the Finance & Admin Team. You will be responsible for overseeing the integrity of financial data and accounting processes across multiple business systems, ensuring accurate reporting, effective internal controls, timely month-end close activities, and reliable financial information to support business decision-making. RESPONSIBILITIES Oversee the integrity and reconciliation of purchasing, inventory, project management, and accounting systems. Oversee reconciliation of CRM, estimating, contract, and ERP data to ensure accurate revenue ad forecast reporting. Lead accounting operations for the retail division, including inventory accounting and divisional financial reporting. Support payroll administration and related internal controls. Prepare and review bank and cash reconciliations. Lead monthly account reconciliation processes and support a timely and accurate month-end close. Prepare and review vendor account reconciliations and contact vendors when required. Prepare and post journal entries. Assist in the administration of the bill approval system, including approval authority for assigned classes of payables. Perform financial analysis, reporting, and special projects for management. REQUIREMENTS Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration CPA designation (or CPA candidate nearing completion) is an asset, but not a requirement 2-4+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in manufacturing, construction, or project-based environments Strong background in full-cycle accounting, inventory accounting, account reconciliations, month-end close, and financial reporting. Advanced ERP and Excel skills with experience reconciling data across CRM, project management, inventory, and accounting systems. Demonstrated ability to support internal controls, payroll processes, and operational financial reporting in a multi-division environment. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills Advanced analytical skills, coupled with excellent organizational skills Salary Salary dependent on experience. Travel expenses will be reimbursed.
