Overview: We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join our finance team and be responsible for the day‑to‑day operations of our accounting function. This role plays a key part in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting compliance requirements, and ensuring the smooth execution of core accounting processes. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with cross‑functional teams and contribute to continuous improvements within the department. This position is based out of the North Vancouver Office. Job Description: The Senior Accountant oversees the company's accounting practices, maintaining accurate fiscal records, and preparing key financial reconciliations and reports. the role is responsible for core accounting functions such as projects accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable and general ledger maintenance. The Senior Accountant will report to the Controller and provide leadership to the accounting staff. Job Responsibilities: The immediate responsibilities of a Senior Accountant will include, but are not limited to: * Managing full accounting cycle and month end close * Posting and reviewing transactions, including accruals and intercompany transactions * Ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices and government remittances * Leading, mentoring and developing accounting staff; fostering strong communication and alignment between finance and operational teams. * Maintaining general ledger accuracy, including reconciliation of accounts * Preparing month‑end and year‑end financial reports and schedules * Working closely with the Business Services team to ensure completeness and accuracy of project billings * Assisting with payroll process and reconciliations, as needed * Assisting with audits and the year‑end annual review * Supporting ERP transition and leading ongoing process improvements. What we offer: * Tailored career growth opportunities * Progressive vacation allocation * GRSP Matching * Company directed trainings * Bonus program * Professional development allowances * Fun and professional work environment * Comprehensive benefits package * Company events QUALIFICATIONS * Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in accounting or financial management. * Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field. * CPA designation, or workings towards, preferred. * Demonstrated experience with full-cycle accounting, financial reporting under ASPE, and hands-on month-end management. * Solid understanding of internal controls, financial processes and statutory compliance. * Proficient in MS Office, with advanced Excel skills. * Experience with ERP systems; Deltek Vantagepoint and/or ADP considered a strong asset. * Experience in a consulting, service-based or project-based environment preferred. * Exceptional organizational, analytical, and problem‑solving skills. * Detailed-oriented, accountable, self-driven, with strong interpersonal.
