ABOUT THE ROLE Under the direction of the Accounting Supervisor, the Accounting Clerk will provide clerical, administrative and analytical support within the accounting department and ensure efficient, timely, and accurate accounts payable and receivable processing. Key Responsibilities Maintain an up-to-date Accounts Receivable system using RSA. Conduct collection and reporting activities according to specified deadlines. Collect and allocate customer payments. Perform account reconciliations and process adjustments. Receive, verify and record vendor invoices and post them into the RSA system. Prepare journal entries when required, i.e., bank charges, etc. Assist in inventory management. Miscellaneous analysis as required. Perform other duties/responsibilities as assigned. Education and Experience Post-secondary Certificate, Diploma, Degree or equivalent in the accounting field. Knowledge and Experience Knowledge of general accounting principles. Proficient in Word, Excel (intermediate) and other relevant software. High degree of organization, attention to detail and accuracy. Good verbal and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work independently as well as part of a cross-functional team. Resourceful and eager to learn.
