Job summary
This is a 9 months contract role: Role and Responsibilities Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and supporting schedules. Perform complex General Ledger accounting, journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations. Review cash management (CM) entries, bank reconciliations, and AP/AR transactions to ensure accuracy and completeness. Maintain and reconcile prepaid expenses, fixed assets, depreciation schedules, IFRS 16 lease schedules, CAPEX schedules, and debt amortization schedules. Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and investigate variances to ensure the integrity of financial records. Support external audit requirements, including preparation of audit working papers and supporting documentation. Prepare quarterly and annual government filings, including payroll-related remittances and regulatory reporting. Perform other general finance/accounting duties and various tasks as required. Support ERP system enhancements, financial system implementations, and process automation initiatives. Qualifications and Educational requirements Minimum 5–7 years of progressive accounting and finance experience. Post secondary education in Finance or Accounting Must be working towards CPA designation. Experience with Viewpoint and Spreadsheet Server software an asset Excellent numerical, verbal, and written communication skills Highly organized with keen attention to details Self-starter with positive outlook and approach to problem solving. Able to prioritize and thrive in a high-volume workload and fast paced environment.
