The Opportunity We’re a fast-scaling technology company operating across Canada and the U.S., and our finance infrastructure needs to match our growth. This role owns the full accounting engine , month-end close, multi-entity consolidation, cross-border compliance, and process-building , with a clear path upward as the team expands. You’ll work directly with the Director of Finance and leadership team. No layers, no red tape , just real impact on a company that’s moving fast and building right. What You'll Own * Lead the full monthly close cycle , GL, accruals, journal entries, reconciliations , within strict timelines * Manage intercompany accounting and reconciliations across Canadian and U.S. entities * Prepare monthly financial statements, variance analysis, KPI reporting, and forecasting support * Oversee accounts payable, receivable, invoicing, collections, and banking activities * Maintain accuracy and integrity of financial records in QuickBooks Online * Manage U.S. multi-state sales tax compliance and filings * Identify automation opportunities and build scalable financial controls * Support budgeting, forecasting, and operational financial analysis * Collaborate cross-functionally with leadership on reporting visibility and financial accuracy What You'll Bring Required: * 4–6+ years of progressive, full-cycle accounting experience * Strong month-end close ownership and financial statement preparation * QuickBooks Online or similar ERP/accounting system proficiency * Advanced Excel (pivot tables, lookups, data validation) * Experience in SaaS, tech, startup, or high-growth environments is highly preferred Strong assets: * Multi-entity, cross-border, or multi-currency accounting experience * U.S. multi-state sales tax / compliance background You'll Thrive Here if You * Take ownership without being asked * Spot a broken process and fix it * Work well through ambiguity without losing accuracy * Want your name on something that outlasts your first week * Are energized by fast-moving environments, not drained by them Why this role isn’t like the others on your feed: The path forward is real, we’re building the finance team now and this hire is central to that plan.
