We prioritize the quality & service we provide to our customers. This is a permanent, part-time position earning $25.00/hr working approximately 25-30 hours per week with flexible start/finish times. Job Description Our Accounting & Administration Support role is accountable for ensuring accurate financial administration, efficient office operations, and responsive customer support that enables Bylands Nurseries to operate effectively. * Ensures accurate & timely administration of Accounts Receivable by processing payments and credits, issuing monthly statements, administering customer credit applications, and maintaining effective customer communication to resolve outstanding accounts. * Ensures accurate & timely administration of Accounts Payable by processing invoices, preparing weekly payment runs, and resolving account inquiries with vendors. * Maintains accurate credit card records & supports financial controls by completing monthly reconciliations and resolving incomplete documentation. * Provides a professional & responsive first point of contact for visitors, customers, and incoming inquiries, directing requests appropriately & supporting timely resolution. * Supports a positive customer experience by assisting with CFT inquiries, account information, and payment processing. * Supports efficient daily office operations by coordinating mail, parcels, couriers, office supplies, and servicing of office equipment. * Provides reliable administrative & scheduling support to the President and COO, including appointment coordination and other administrative requirements. * Supports effective coordination of meetings and business travel by organizing boardroom bookings and assisting with travel arrangements. * Provides responsive administrative support across Sales and Shipping to maintain accurate information and efficient workflow during seasonal demands. Qualifications Education & Experience: We recognize that strong candidates may come from a variety of backgrounds. Formal certifications are an asset, but not required. Experience in the following environments is especially valuable: * Administrative or Accounting education, or equivalent experience * 2+ years of relevant experience Core Competencies: Accountability, Growth, Integrity, Quality & Adaptability * Attention to Detail, Accuracy * PC Proficient (Microsoft Suite, company specific software) * Professionalism, Resilience & Initiative * Time Management & Organization Skills Additional Information Bylands is a seasonal business, and this role reflects that rhythm.
