Role Description The Accounting Clerk is a full-time, on-site role based in Oakville, ON. This position is responsible for performing day-to-day bookkeeping tasks, including recording transactions, processing accounts payable and receivable, and reconciling bank and ledger accounts. The role includes maintaining accurate financial records, assisting in the preparation of financial statements and reports, and supporting month-end and year-end closing activities. The Accounting Clerk will work closely with the finance team to ensure data integrity in accounting software, support audits and compliance requirements, and respond to internal inquiries regarding invoices, payments, and account balances. The role may also involve generating routine financial summaries, filing and organizing documentation, and contributing to process improvements in the accounting function. Qualifications Strong foundational knowledge in Accounting and Finance, with the ability to apply basic principles to daily transactions and reconciliations. Proficiency in Bookkeeping tasks, including accounts payable/receivable, journal entries, and bank reconciliations. Experience using Accounting Software to record, track, and report financial data accurately. Ability to assist in preparing and reviewing Financial Statements and related reports. Post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. Attention to detail, strong numerical and analytical skills, and a high level of accuracy in data entry. Good organizational and time-management abilities, with capacity to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines. Effective written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams. Familiarity with MS Office tools (especially Excel) and general office administrative practices. Experience in a manufacturing or supply chain environment is an asset.
