We’re currently looking for a Corporate Accountant to join our Finance team on a 13-month contract to cover a maternity leave. Please note, this is an in-person role at our Edmonton Corporate Office. This is an exciting opportunity for a detail-oriented and motivated accounting professional to play a key role in maintaining financial accuracy and supporting business performance across a growing national brand. You’ll be responsible for full-cycle accounting, financial reporting, reconciliations, and payroll, while also contributing to ongoing analysis and operational improvements. Key Responsibilities Manage full-cycle accounts payable, invoicing, and vendor reconciliations Perform bank, accounts payable, and accounts receivable reconciliations Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements Handle GST and other government filings with accuracy and timeliness Set up and map general ledger accounts in line with company structure Prepare and analyze profit and loss statements Monitor and analyze monthly operating results, identify variances, and provide management with value-added reporting Collaborate with internal stakeholders to support operational improvements and cost control Assist with WCB reporting Process payroll as needed Use advanced Excel functions to support analysis and reporting Maintain strong attention to detail and organizational accuracy in all administrative and accounting functions What You Bring to the Table Undergraduate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline CPA designation is strongly preferred 2–4 years of relevant accounting experience Sage 300 experience is an asset Strong understanding of financial accounting principles Experience in retail, franchising, or multi-location operations is an asset Proficient in Microsoft Excel (advanced skills required) Experience in AI tools, such as Claude, would be considered an asset Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities A collaborative, team-oriented mindset with a proactive approach to problem solving What We Offer An opportunity to work with a nationally recognized Canadian brand A collaborative and supportive Head Office team environment The chance to contribute meaningfully to our growing company and franchise network Ready to Blend Your Expertise with Purpose?
