PAYROLL AND COMPLIANCE COORDINATOR Construction Staffing Firm • Vaughan, Ontario • Remote • Part-Time ABOUT THE ROLE We are looking for a Payroll and Compliance Coordinator for a growing construction staffing firm based in Vaughan, Ontario. This is a part-time, fully remote role covering payroll administration, compliance, accounts, and operations support. The ideal candidate is based in Canada and brings experience across these functions within a staffing or construction environment. RESPONSIBILITIES Payroll • Collect, verify, and enter payroll hours accurately • Prepare payroll for approval • Calculate statutory holiday pay and vacation pay • Process Records of Employment (ROEs) Compliance • Manage WSIB reporting and obtain WSIB clearance certificates • Prepare and submit Form 1000s and insurance certificates • Handle new client documentation • Maintain employee files and employment agreements • Coordinate health and safety documentation Accounts • Prepare and issue client invoices • Update bookkeeping records in QuickBooks • Track accounts receivable and timesheets • Prepare financial and operational reports Operations Support • Follow up on missing timesheets and outstanding worker documentation • Liaise with workers to maintain communication and continuity • Assist with workforce scheduling • Support employee onboarding WHAT YOU BRING • Experience across payroll, compliance, accounts, or operations administration, ideally within a staffing or construction environment • Solid knowledge of Canadian payroll legislation, WSIB requirements, and Ontario employment standards • Proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Office • Strong attention to detail, organisational skills, and ability to manage multiple responsibilities • Self-directed and comfortable working independently in a remote environment • Based in Canada is preferred
