Job summary
Overview Ananthan-Silva CPA is opening a new office in Peace River, and we are looking for a Junior Accountant to join our growing team. This is a strong fit for someone early in their accounting career: whether you have a bachelor's degree and are interested in pursuing your CPA designation, are already enrolled and working toward your CPA, or hold a 2-year accounting diploma with interest in eventually upgrading to a degree. Candidates with experience in public accounting or finance will also be considered. You will work directly and collaboratively with our managers, associates, and staff across auditing, tax, bookkeeping, and consulting engagements, in a firm that genuinely invests in your growth. Duties Assist with audit engagements, including preparing working papers and supporting documentation; Prepare personal and corporate tax returns; Perform bookkeeping and accounting work for client engagements; Support consulting engagements alongside managers and senior staff; Work directly and collaboratively with managers, associates, and staff across engagements, taking on increasing responsibility as your skills and designation progress. Requirements 2-year accounting/business diploma, bachelor's degree in business, accounting or commerce, or enrolment and working toward a CPA designation; Experience in public accounting, bookkeeping or finance is an asset; Working knowledge of QuickBooks and Sage; Experience with AG Expert and AFSC reporting is a strong asset; Experience with Caseware is an asset; Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) is required; Strong attention to detail and accuracy; Adaptability and willingness to learn new systems and processes Strong written and verbal communication skills. Requirements
