As a Jr. Accountant, you will contribute to the financial integrity and transparency of Alberta iGaming Corporation by supporting accounting operations, financial reporting, compliance activities, audit readiness, and process improvements. About the Role In this role you will own: Assisting with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements Supporting month-end and year-end close activities Preparing and posting journal entries Performing account reconciliations and maintaining supporting schedules Administering accounts payable and recording transactions accurately Supporting compliance with IFRS, governance requirements, and internal controls Preparing audit working papers and supporting documentation Collaborating with business units on financial reporting needs Identifying opportunities to improve processes, controls, and reporting tools What You Bring Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent education and experience 0 to 3 years of progressive accounting experience Experience with financial reporting and month-end/year-end processes Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills High attention to detail, accuracy, and integrity Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines Knowledge of the public sector, Crown corporations, or regulated environments is an asset
